Here is what the manufacturer says about this remarkable fabric:
This is a brand new, world-first high performance waterproof-breathable photo-luminescent fabric coating made up of millions of tiny crystals which “glow-in-the-dark” when exposed to light. During the day, simply place your item outside in the sunlight. Depending on the amount and intensity of sunlight your item receives, it can charge in as little as 10-20 minutes and glow brightly. If you want your garment glowing during nighttime hours, place the product in front of artificial light sources such as halogen lighting or, for the best results, in front of a UV Light. Within 10-20 minutes of “charging” you’ll soon have your item glowing brightly again. Once charged, the amount of glow fades gradually and is easily re-charged by exposure to more light.

 

Will the Bags still play the same?

You should not have to make any major adjustments to the way you play when playing with Glow Bags.
Depending on your individual style, you may feel the bag has a bit more slide or slide a bit faster, or not.  It is your style of throwing, combined with the surface of your board and the bag that determine the outcome.

  We conducted extensive testing with many players from all areas of the country, before actually bringing the bags to market. We sent out bags in many different styles, at no cost to the recipients, in exchange for their honest feedback, so that we could determine the player’s preference. We made changes based on the feedback we received from our testers and then sent those bags out for testing. We feel we have come up with a bag that everyone will be able to play with.

 

 

Is it Duck Cloth?
This is the question we get asked most frequently.
Up until now, October 2009, the answer was No, it is not Duck Cloth. It is similar to Duck, but not Duck.
I am happy to announce that answer has changed! We now have Duck Cloth! By applying the same, revolutionary coating that was used on our earlier bags to Duck Cloth, we have transformed plain, ho-hum Duck Cloth into a magical cloth that Glows in the Dark!!

 

What are the bags filled with?

 We only use clean, bug free, whole kernel corn to fill the bags. The bag seams are serged and then stitched using heavy duty upholstery thread for added reinforcement.  All of our machines are industrial and produce nice tight stitches.

 

What will I receive?

Bags can be purchased as a set of 8 bags or half sets of 4 bags.

You have your choice of the bags being made 100% with the Glow Fabric on both sides, or half and half bags which have one side all glow fabric and the other side is colored duck with glow accents.

The logo that is printed on the glow fabric makes it possible to identify your bag from your opponents in the dark. The half and half bags have either a circle or a square of glow fabric on the colored duck side to match the front symbol.
